Introduction

There are about 3,500 frog species on Earth. All of these are cute and wonderful in one way or another. However, we have got our favorites among these 3,500 frog species. On this page we'll present our favorite frogs.

The Poison Arrow Frogs

The Poison Arrow Frogs, also known as the Dendrobatidae family, are our absolute favorite frogs! The Poison Arrow Frogs display complex mating rituals, during which the male and the female caress each other and play wrestle. The Poison Arrow Frogs also nurture their off-spring in a very advanced manner: The male protects the eggs until they have developed into tad-poles, which either the male or the female then carries to a nearby pond to grow to froghood.

The Poison Arrow Frogs display a complex pattern of behavior that makes it possible to discover how advanced frogs really are. If you look superficially at a common frog, you might get the impression that frogs are simple machine-like forms of life. If you study the Poison Arrow Frogs, however, you will very soon discover that frogs are advanced and very sensible small persons who we all benefit tremendously from as frogs continously reduce the number of annoying bugs everywhere.

The Poison Arrow Frog is the kind of frog that you really should study to get a deeper insight into the nature of the frog. The Poison Arrow Frog shows the frog as a caring and responsible parent who stays with his or her off-spring until the day that the off-spring is ready to live on its own. The Poison Arrow Frog shows the frog as a gentle lover who romances with his or her frog of desire. The Poison Arrow Frog shows the frog as a brave and bold little creature who undauntedly walks freely through the world, despite being one of the smallest in a dangerous world of gigantic trees and thousands of predators. The Poison Arrow Frogs, more than any other type of frog, show how boldly beautiful a creation of God can be and yet survive in a very hostile world.

There are about 170 species of Poison Arrow Frogs ranging in color from jet black over deep blue to yellow. The Poison Arrow Frogs are among the most poisonous creatures of Earth: A single Poison Arrow Frog contains enough poison to kill 100 humans! The Poison Arrow Frogs lives in the rain forests of South America. Unfortunately, the cutting down of the rain forest is also affecting the Poison Arrow Frogs: Their habitats are constantly declining. The Poison Arrow Frogs thus also show how careless, ignorant, and senseless Homo sapiens sapiens is in its quest to destroy all of Earth.

The Poison Arrow Frogs got their group name from the fact that the native Indians of South America extract poison for their arrow tips from this group of frogs. Very sadly, though, the extraction of poison is done in a manner that is excessively cruel to the peaceful little frog people of the Dendrobatidae: (quoted from Nashville Zoo) "...the Indians pin the frogs to the ground with a stick and wipe their arrows onto the skin. Frogs with a less deadly toxin are skewered over a fire which excretes large quantities of concentrated poison." Imagine yourself to be a peaceful little frog person, born as one of the frog people, and then suddenly finding yourself pinned to the ground or skewered over a fire solely because you happen to be of a people who protects themselves by having poison in their skin! Among the Poison Arrow Frogs, the Jesus incident is played out over and over again as little frog persons are sacrificed for Homo sapiens sapiens to keep the poison! (So much for the innocense of the rain forest people!) As with pithing, the frog is made the victim of the greed and ignorance of Homo sapiens sapiens.

If you want to know more about frogs, we suggest that you study the Poison Arrow Frogs (also known as Poison Dart Frogs) as these frogs display the most advanced and developed behavior of any frog species.

Common Toad

The common toad, Bufo bufo, is a marvellous and remarkable gentle little being. Anybody who has tried holding a common toad will know that the common toad is one of the gentlest, safest, and sweetest little creatures of Earth.

The common toad may not look overly pretty, but the personality of the common toad greatly makes up for the looks: The common toad is awesomely cute and gentle!

The Leopard Frogs

The Leopard Frogs are very charismatic and strong frogs who are ferocious hunters. The Leopard Frog lives almost all over Earth, in Denmark represented by the Green Frog. The sheer power of the Leopard Frog makes it an occasion worth remembering when you get to see a Leopard Frog in the wild: Also watching the Leopard Frog swimming with bold and precise movements is a wonder!

The Bull Frog

The Bull Frog, of the United States of America, is a ferocious hunter which will eat nearly anything that moves, including mice, small rats, garter snakes, and even ducklings! The Bull Frog is by far the most powerful and strong of all frogs. Watching a Bull Frog hunt is an awesome and exhilerating experience: The Bull Frog swiftly attacks and catches his or her prey, no matter the species of that prey, jumping on to the prey as if a tiger launching itself onto its prey.

The Bull Frog is one of the few "brutal" frog species: The Bull Frog is uninhibited in its hunting behavior, and you for sure would not want to meet a 6 meter tall Bull Frog!
