www.NatureForge.org

Introduction

This page presents a great idea for a new website: NatureForge. NatureForge is intended to give the nature conservationists of Earth what SourceForge gives the open source developers. I'm publishing the NatureForge concept here on Frogsite because I don't have any better places to publish it. I've emailed SourceForge and suggested them to open up NatureForge.org but have not heard anything in reply.

If you like the idea of NatureForge, then please do whatever you can to help realize NatureForge: If you know who to contact at SourceForge, then please contact SourceForge and ask SourceForge to host and operate NatureForge. NatureForge could change the way nature conservationists work together to conserve the nature of Earth! NatureForge could make people able to work together effectively across all nations of Earth.

NatureForge

NatureForge is a website created with the technology used for SourceForge.net. The www.natureforce.org website allows people from all countries to collaborate in protecting the wildlife of Earth. Using the software developed for www.sourceforge.net, NatureForge provides everything needed for collaborators to coordinate and orchestrate joint efforts to save specific species in nature. Projects are created to protect particular species or sites. Everybody being capable of providing useful information, hints, strategies, etc. joins up in the projects of relevance. NatureForge provides easy-to-learn guides introducing the new-comer to the world of wildlife protection, so that any citizen can easily become a valuable ally in the fight to save Earth. Any Jane Smith or John Smith can join up, and in a matter of hours have a clear overview of what is required to join in the fight to protect the nature of Earth.

NatureForge provides a central repository for storing of documents related to environmental conservation efforts. For instance, a preserving single nature site typically involves contacting the right people, documenting the problems arising if the site is not preserved, presenting the global picture in terms of presenting how few sites with identical or similar traits exists, and so on. Furthermore, communication between the working group (the project at NatureForge.net) and those environmental agencies involved should be published so as to maximize the speed with which all project members gets access to the developments in the protection effort.

NatureForge provides complete and comprehensive lists of the species that have already become extinct, the species endangered of becoming extinct, and the species currently not in danger of becoming extinct, and the species safely protected in nature parks. NatureForge thus provides the status of Earth in a glimpse; bars, charts, and maps shows the exact state of the global nature protection effort. A map of the globe shows all the crisis points in red colors making it trivially easy to see where concentrated and effective effort is needed. Another map shows, with a color array, what protection sites exists, making it trivially easy to see which countries are on track with the effort to save every species currently in existence and which countries are far behind.

NatureForge makes the total planetary environment protection effort a collaborative effort.

A section of NatureForge lists all the known protection agencies and organisations that exist. Regular contact from NatureForge to these organisations help concert a united effort for the environment. Through planned strategical campaigns, more and more protection agencies and organisations are joined up under NatureForge, leading to a joint global effort in the battle to save the precious nature and wildlife of Earth. (each organisation is listed with up-to-date address, email, and telephone contact information so as to provide centralized access to every conservation group on Earth)

A section of NatureForge lists all the projects that critically need to be completed.

NatureForge brings the fight for nature into the homes of Earth. NatureForge makes everybody with an Internet connection capable of joining the fight for nature and wildlife.

A section of NatureForge reports every environmental disaster anywhere on Earth, allowing the user to see the distribution and number of environmental disasters at a glance.

NatureForge is the perfect tool for the environmental conscious politician. The politician being enabled to precisely and quickly aid nature after having gained a sense of the situation by visiting NatureForge every week.

Mailing lists makes it easy to quickly inform a large group of people about important changes on Earth, such as the extinction of yet another species.

Groups of volunteers routinely scans NatureForge and inspires groups with identical or overlapping objectives to join efforts thereby accellerating the success ratio globally and optimizing the effort invested in the fight.

A section of NatureForge allows users to contribute money to any organisation listed on NatureForge. The user simply makes a money transfer to NatureForge and NatureForge ensures the money is transferred to the recipient organisation.

A section of NatureForge allows the user to volunteer to pay Nature Tax, a volunteery tax, ranging from half a percent to ten percent of the user's net income, labelled Nature Tax. Nature tax is collected by NatureForge, which distributes the money to the projects that critically need to be completed so that vast efforts can be made to save as many species on Earth as at all possible. NatureForge is a non-profit organisation with strict limits on the maximum compensation that any person can be paid by the organisation, ensuring that the maximum percentage of the income is returned directly to nature in the forms of legal efforts, campaigns, and nature parks. People working at NatureForge works for nature, not for wealth.
